Beyoncé's Houston childhood home catches fire Christmas morning

On the early morning of Christmas, tragedy struck as a devastating fire engulfed Beyoncé’s childhood home located at 2414 Rosedale in Houston’s Third Ward. The Houston Fire Department promptly responded to the incident, arriving at the scene around 2:07 a.m.

The two-story house, a poignant symbol of Beyoncé’s upbringing and featured in her early home videos, suffered severe damage in the Christmas morning blaze. First responders, arriving within 3-5 minutes, were met with intense flames emanating from the front of the Riverside Terrace property.

The Houston Fire Department initiated an aggressive attack, successfully containing the majority of the fire within 10 minutes. To fully control the situation, firefighters had to cut into the roof to address the attic and eaves affected by the blaze.

Despite the extensive damage to the property, there were no reported injuries. Fortunately, the couple and their two small children who occupied the residence managed to self-evacuate before the arrival of the Houston Fire Department. The incident adds a somber note to the holiday season, as the community reflects on the significance of the home in Beyoncé’s life and career.
