Woman arrested in 2 armed robberies in Los Angeles area

A woman believed to be responsible for multiple armed robberies in the Los Angeles area has been apprehended, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). The armed woman targeted two different locations within an hour on a Sunday, wielding a semiautomatic handgun. The LAPD’s air support team swiftly located the suspect’s car in the vicinity of 46th and Avalon.

Following the vehicle’s identification, law enforcement took the woman into custody, and a search yielded a gun and stolen property. Investigators suspect that she may have had a male accomplice. Authorities suggest the potential involvement of a grey Chrysler 300 with paper plates and possible rear quarter panel damage as the getaway vehicle for the male suspect.

Law enforcement believes that both individuals might be connected to a robbery that occurred a day earlier in the area of 51st and Central. The coordinated efforts of the LAPD, including air support, played a crucial role in swiftly locating and apprehending the suspected armed robber, underscoring the importance of effective law enforcement response in addressing criminal activities.
