A Source Gives Health Update About Kate Middleton, Says Royal Kids “Haven’t Seen Their Mother Yet”

Kate Middleton is currently in the midst of a four-day hospital stay following a planned abdominal surgery on January 16. According to a source, the Princess of Wales is reportedly “doing well” in her recovery. As of January 18, she has not yet seen her three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—as they have been in school.

Prince William visited Kate in the hospital, showing his support by canceling royal engagements to be with his wife and children during this period. The Princess is expected to remain in the hospital for a total of 10 to 14 days and will continue her recovery at home afterward, resuming public duties after Easter. While the specific details of Kate’s procedure have not been disclosed by Kensington Palace, it has been emphasized that her condition is non-cancerous.

In an official statement, the palace highlighted Kate’s desire to keep her medical information private, stating, “The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private.” The palace also mentioned that updates on Kate’s progress will be provided only when there is significant new information to share. Despite the necessary postponement of upcoming engagements, the Princess looks forward to reinstating them as soon as possible.
