Neighbors say 'party house' in Beverly Hills is run by squatters

Beverly Grove Place, on the border of Beverly Hills and Bel Air, has become a site of concern for residents due to reported issues related to a party house. Neighbors have expressed frustration over squatters living in the home who have been hosting disruptive and advertised parties, even charging admission. Complaints include noise disturbances, blocked streets, and potential safety hazards.

The parties allegedly claimed to be fundraising for victims of the October 7 Hamas attack, but neighbors question the legitimacy of such activities. The situation has led to strained relations among residents, with concerns about emergency vehicle access and public safety.

The Los Angeles Police Department has responded to complaints at the property multiple times, but the ownership situation is complex. The house was owned by Munir Uwaydah, a disgraced doctor facing accusations related to the murder of a model and involvement in an insurance fraud scheme. However, Uwaydah has fled the United States and is reportedly in Lebanon. The current owner, MDRCA Properties LLC, filed for bankruptcy, and the house is now listed for sale at $4.5 million.

The eviction process has been complicated by the squatters’ driver’s licenses being registered to the property. Despite claims of signing a lease for $25,000 per year, neighbors and a private investigator argue that the lease appears dubious, with fictitious names and nonexistent contact information.

The situation has left property owners, like Fran Solomon, feeling distressed and even resorting to hiring an armed security guard for protection. The ongoing challenges with the party house highlight the difficulties in addressing such issues within the legal framework.
